A documentary telling the comeback of sportscaster Art Hains will premiere at the Marshall Cinema on Thursday, November 13.
The documentary, Voice Unbroken, tells the story of Art’s comeback to the broadcast booth after contracting West Nile Virus and being left paralyzed. Film Director and Producer Dena Hildebrand says it was an honor to work with Art throughout the project.
Hains recently retired in September 2025 after serving as the voice of the Missouri State Bears for more than 40 years. Hains also served as the studio host for the Kansas City Chiefs Radio Network from 2008 to 2025. Hildebrand says she is excited to premier the documentary in Marshall.
The premier will begin at 6 p.m. at the Marshall Cinema. Admission into the event is free, but seating is limited. There will also be a Q&A session with Hains and the filmmakers following the screening.
