A Macon man was treated at an area hospital after his vehicle struck the back of a trailer Friday, Apr. 17.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the collision in the northbound lanes of U.S. Route 63 south of Excello around 9:25 a.m. Friday. Troopers say the 82-year-old man was not wearing his seat belt when his pickup collided with the back of a trailer being towed by a semi-truck. The man was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. No injuries were reported for the semi’s driver, a 52-year-old man from Clark.
