The City of Warsaw has announced a new location for their residents to take tree debris from storms that hit the city Friday, Apr. 17, 2026.

Warsaw residents can take their tree debris to a dropoff site along Jackson Avenue, between Lay Park and Dam Access Road. The city will place signs to guide residents to the dropoff. The current compost area at the end of Tamara Lane at the Warsaw Industrial Park is closed until further notice.

Residents and utility crews continue to clean up in the aftermath of Friday’s storms. As of 7 a.m. Sunday, the Co-Mo Electric Cooperative reported 500 customers in Morgan County remained without power, along with 226 in Benton County and another 160 in Camden County. The Harry S Truman Visitors Center remains closed Sunday. However, the campground and day use areas remain available for visitors. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers advise anyone in the area to exercise caution, patience, and to plan ahead.
