Two men were seriously injured after their utility vehicle overturned north of Brunswick on Saturday, Apr. 18.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says troopers along with Chariton County first responders were called to the crash just before 6 p.m. on Fort Orleans Avenue, three miles north of Brunswick. Troopers report that the 20-year-old driver from Brunswick was driving the UTV north when the vehicle went off the right side of the roadway and overturned, before returning to the roadway. He along with his 19-year-old passenger from Chillicothe suffered serious injuries and were flown to a Columbia hospital. According to the patrol’s report, both men were not wearing the proper safety equipment.
