
Several agreements with developers received the approval of the Moberly City Council at their meeting Monday, Apr. 20, paving the way for new housing in one of the city’s neighborhoods.

The council also approved amendments to a pair of subdivision plats. During the consent agenda, the council approved a request from the Moberly Rotary Club for street closures and a beer garden during the city’s upcoming Railroad Days festival, June 3-6.
Monday’s meeting began with the certification of the April 7th municipal election results, which showed Brian Ketcher earning a three-year term on the council. Outgoing council member John Kimmons Jr was honored for his 26 years of service on the council. During the reorganization process, Brandon Lucas was selected to remain mayor of Moberly, while Chuck McKeown was named mayor pro-tem.
