sfcc-scholarship-awards

Eight students from State Fair Community College were selected by the National Coalition of Certification Centers (NC3) as recipients of the 2026 Skilled Trades – 3M Transformational Scholarship.

SFCC took part in the National Letter of Intent Signing on April 15. This national event mirrors the NCAA’s National Signing Day for students who commit to entering a health or technical field. New students from local high schools, as well as students continuing their education through other pathways, attended the event to sign for the 2026-27 academic year and participated in a ceremony similar to a collegiate athletic signing.

NC3 and 3M awarded scholarships to 50 students nationwide who participated in the signing day event, including eight recipients from State Fair Community College. The scholarships help students pursue careers in skilled trades while strengthening communities where they live and work. Recipients include Dawson Nguyen of Green Ridge, who plans to pursue a career in animal science; Alivia Haase of Cole Camp, nursing; Wyatt Brosch of Green Ridge, welding; Santana Rivas of Green Ridge, HVAC; Vincent Karstens of Stover, HVAC; Rylee Donaldson of Green Ridge, radiologic technology; McKenzie Davis of Wardsville, engineering design technology; and Keira Miller of Stover, digital media communications.

SFCC participated in the event alongside more than 90 institutions across the country.
