
Team SCREAM, the robotics team from Smith-Cotton High School, entered Day Two of qualifying at the FIRST World Championships in Houston with an undefeated record.
The squad won all five of their preliminary matches Thursday, Apr. 30, and picked up another win in their opening contest Friday. As of 11 a.m. Friday, Team SCREAM (4522) is ranked second in the Johnson Division. Four more matches are scheduled for Friday, with the playoffs and Einstein Division championship brackets scheduled for Saturday.
Team SCREAM Jr (4766) is also competing this week in Houston. The team of underclassmen finished Thursday with a 3-2 record, then won their first match Friday morning before falling in their second contest. With three matches remaining, Team SCREAM Jr was sitting 28th out of 75 teams in the Galileo Division as of 11 a.m.
