A two-vehicle collision east of Harrisburg on Saturday, May 2 sent three area residents to the hospital with moderate injury.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred around 8:30 a.m. on Route 124 east of Route E, when a westbound pickup driven by a 57-year-old man from Fayette crossed the center of the roadway and struck a car driven by a 36-year-old man from Columbia. The two drivers, along with a 43-year-old woman from Harrisburg in the car, were all taken to a Columbia hospital for treatment. Troopers say only the driver of the pickup was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.
