The next communities in Carroll and Chariton counties set to receive improved sidewalks along state highways will have their projects begin over the next week.
The Missouri Department of Transportation will begin constructing the improvements Monday, May 4 along Route K through Keytesville and along Route M through Bosworth beginning Tuesday. Contractors with Ti-Zack Concrete will work with MoDOT to install new sidewalks in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. The project funded through the Transportation Alternatives Program recently completed sidewalks along Route E in Sumner, and is slated to install sidewalks over the next three months in Rothville, Mendon, Norborne and Hale.
All work is weather permitting, and schedules are subject to change. Additional details about the project are available on MoDOT’s website.
