The Missouri Department of Transportation will adjust the traffic pattern along a portion of U.S. Route 50 west of Warrensburg, as construction continues on a number of safety improvements.
Beginning Monday, May 11, traffic on the highway between NW 311 and NW 191 roads will go to a head-to-head pattern, where one lane of traffic in each direction will occupy the westbound lanes. The configuration is expected to last until the end of June.
The move is the latest step in MoDOT’s project to install safety and operational improvements along U.S. 50 from Warrensburg west to the intersection with Route 58 near Crest Ridge High School. The work is weather permitting, and MoDOT reminds motorists to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones.
