The Henry County R-I School District in Windsor is turning to an interim superintendent to lead the district for the next school year.
The district’s board of education announced Tuesday, May 5 that Dr Julie K Dill will step into the role for the 2026-27 school year. In a statement, Windsor board president Jason Heany said that Dill will bring a, “wealth of experience and a steady, student-centered approach to leadership. Her background in guiding districts through transition, strengthening systems, and ensuring strong communication with boards and communities makes her an excellent fit.”
Dill is currently serving as the interim superintendent at Tipton, after a similar stint in Climax Springs. She’ll make the move to Windsor on July 1 and aid the district in a search for their next permanent superintendent. Dill steps in for Brad Hunter, who announced last month he would leave the district to become a guidance counselor at Leeton. Hunter has spent 15 years at Windsor, including the past three as superintendent.
