A boil advisory is in effect in the City of Moberly after a disruption in water service was reported on West Reed Street Thursday afternoon.

A temporary disruption in water service was reported in the 800 block of West Reed Street due to construction activity in the area. Water service was fully restored at 7:22 p.m.

The boil advisory is in effect for the 800 block of West Reed, 200 block of Tannehill, 700 and 800 blocks of West Coates, and the surrounding areas.

During an advisory, water used for consumption should be boiled for 3 minutes and cooled before drinking. Customers with questions should call the water office at 660-263-4420.
