
Three area residents were injured in a crash along Highway 50 at 10:28 Tuesday morning.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when a vehicle driven by a 61-year-old Kingsville woman failed to yield to a vehicle driven by a 47-year-old Warrensburg man as it was traveling eastbound down the highway. The Kingsville woman crossed into the other vehicle’s path and was struck on the driver’s side door. Both vehicles then traveled off the roadway.
The Kingsville woman had serious injuries in the crash and was taken to a Kansas City hospital for treatment. The Warrensburg man and a 44-year-old Belton woman in his vehicle both had minor injuries in the crash.
The crash was reported on Highway 50, near Highway AA in Johnson County.
