Construction crews remain on track to complete the new Governor Michael L Parson Arena at the Missouri State Fairgrounds in Sedalia before the start of this year’s fair.

Fair Director Jason Moore says the new arena will host the fair’s opening ceremonies Aug. 13.

In addition to rodeos, the Arena will host a pair of new events during the fair.

Tickets for the rodeos and other marquee events at the new Parson Arena are now on sale through the Missouri State Fair’s website, as are this year’s concerts and motorsports at the Grandstand presented by CFM Insurance.
