Three Marshall High School students won competitions at the Warrensburg Tournament this past weekend.
According to a news release, Lealani Pese took first place in poetry reading; Drew Arends was first in original oratory; and Gabriel Boatman finished first in prose reading.
Norberto Aguirre and KK Elfrink teamed up to finish fourth in duet acting. Also fourth was Pese in storytelling.
Adison Stocksdale and Aareyanna Larimore each was fifth in original oratory and poetry reading, respectively.
James Hieronymus and Marissa Snell finished sixth in duet acting.
The team’s next tournament will be at Grain Valley this weekend.
