Saline County Clerk Debbie Russell says there have been several safeguards put in place to help protect voters and poll workers during the Municipal Election on Tuesday, June 2.
Russell said she put herself in the shoes of the poll workers to think about what she would want to help protect herself during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Russell explained some safeguards have been put in place to help protect the voters.
Russell said voters should not be scared to come to the polls.
For those who still feel uncomfortable to cast their ballot at the polls, absentee voting will be accepted during regular business hours through 5 p.m. on Monday, June 1, at the county clerk’s office on the north side of the square in Marshall.
Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
