The Saline County Health Department released the latest COVID-19 numbers.

According to Health Department Administrator, Tara Brewer, six new cases of the virus were reported over the weekend and nine others were added to the number of recovered cases.

There were no new positive cases reported on Monday and there were seven additional cases released from observation.

To date, there are 477 total positive cases of the virus that have been confirmed in Saline County. Of the 477 cases, there are 410 that have been released from observation and 58 cases remain active. There is currently one person who remains hospitalized and there have been a total of nine deaths related to the virus.

Brewer says the two new deaths were pending from last week and the Health Department had to get confirmation on how to classify these two cases before the information was released. Both citizens were in their 70’s with underlying health issues.
