The total of positive COVID-19 cases increased by more than 1,000 in the state of Missouri on Monday, August 17.

According to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, the total number of positive cases was 68,623- up from 67,475 on Sunday, August 16.

The number of COVID-19-related deaths jumped by 26 from 1,367 on Sunday to 1,393 on Monday.

DHSS expects the next update to take place at 2 p.m on Tuesday, August 18.
