The Minnesota Timberwolves won the NBA draft lottery Thursday night and will pick first in the Oct. 16 draft. The Golden State Warriors will select second, while the Charlotte Hornets jumped up to the third slot.

The Chicago Bulls pick fourth; Cleveland Cavaliers fifth; Atlanta Hawks sixth; Detroit Pistons seventh; New York Knicks eighth; Washington Wizards ninth; Phoenix Suns 10th; San Antonio Spurs 11th; Sacramento Kings 12th; New Orleans Pelicans 13th; and Boston Celtics (from the Memphis Grizzlies) 14th.
