John E. Williams, 94, of Marshall, died Friday, September 11, 2020.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Burial with military rites will follow in Sunset Gardens Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 2  to 3 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.  The family request that masks be worn at all events.  In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to Marshall Church of the Nazarene or Fitzgibbon-Mary Montgomery Hospice.  An online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com

Survivors include one daughter, Linda Smith (Rick) of Brea, CA; one son, Kenneth E. Williams (Gale) of Marshall; three grandchildren: Teresa Simmons of rural Sweet Springs, Marty Smith (Sally) of La Habra, CA and Kenneth E. Williams II of rural Sweet Springs; four great-grandchildren; three great-great-granddaughters; two sisters, Rosa Lee Snyder (Ralph) of Springfield and Mary Ann Briscoe (John) of St. Charles; one brother, Franklin Williams (Joyce) of Marshall; as well as many nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest “Coon” Williams and Cora Judd Williams; and wife, Louise Breshears; one granddaughter, Cherie Smith; five brothers and one sister.
