Nearly 60 building permits were approved in the city of Marshall in July.

During the meeting of the city council on Monday, August 2, Ward 2 Councilman Leon Thompson gave the details.

Thompson also said on July 20, the city had its board of code enforcement meeting. He said the board reviewed 11 nuisance properties and 15 car complaints.

In other news from the council meeting, city clerk Julie Lewis was elected to be the employer’s representative at Missouri LAGERS.
