Saline County Treasurer Jared Brewer gave an update on the taxes received by the county during his monthly sales-tax report at the meeting of the county commission on Thursday, August 19.

Brewer first covered the sales and law-enforcement taxes.

Brewer continued with updates about three other taxes received.

In other news from the meeting, commissioners approved a request by Malta Bend American Legion Post 558 to use the southeast corner of the courthouse grounds for a 9/11 Patriots’ Day Ceremony at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 11.
