
The Marshall School District encourages qualified persons interested in running for a position on the school board to file to be a candidate in the Tuesday, April 5, 2022, Municipal Election.
According to the district, interested persons may filed at the superintendent’s office at 860 West Vest Street.
Filing will begin at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, December 7, and continue during the district’s regular business hours, which are 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Candidates may obtain the official candidate filing packet of forms and instructions in advance at the superintendent’s office.
Except for the first and last day of the filing period, filing will not occur on days the school district’s central office is closed due to inclement weather or other health-related reasons. The district may not open even on the first and last day of filing, if weather make it unsafe for school staff to travel. Filing also will not occur on holidays when central office is closed: 12:30 p.m. Friday, December 17, through Monday, December 27. On the last day to file, the office will be open from noon to 5 p.m.
Candidates must wear face masks and observe district infection-control rules in force at the time of filing.
There are two three-year and one two-year term positions available.
