
An area hospital has announced it is scheduled to host mass COVID-19 vaccine clinics beginning next month.
According to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall it will be offering Pfizer and Moderna vaccinations to persons age 5 and older – first, second, third and booster doses are scheduled to be administered.
Health officials say individuals are eligible for the booster shot if it has been six months or more since their initial vaccination series. Persons are only eligible for a third dose shot if they have a moderately to severely-compromised immune system and if it has been 28 days since their initial vaccine series.
Officials ask that you bring your original vaccine card to the following clinics being offered:
- The Malcolm Center of Student Life, on the campus of Missouri Valley College in Marshall, from 8 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, December 6.
- The Knights of Columbus Hall, in Glasgow, from 8 to 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 7.
- The Phillips Recreation Center, on the campus Central Methodist University in Fayette, from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, December 9.
Fitzgibbon Hospital is also scheduled to host vaccination clinics from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. December 3, 10 and 17. No appointments are necessary.
