Anita Pearl Patterson Cartee, age 88, of Marshall, MO, died Saturday, November 27, 2021, at The Living Center in Marshall.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 2, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall.

Born September 2, 1933, in Houstonia, MO, she was the daughter of the late Albert E. Patterson and Inez L. Charles Patterson. On September 2, 1951, she married George Taylor Cartee who preceded her in death on October 4, 1999. Anita and Taylor lived in Sweet Springs before moving to the farm north of Marshall in 1952 where they lived until 1995 and then moved back to Sweet Springs until 2010. Anita worked at International Shoe Factory, a cook at A&W Drive-In and also worked at Hahn & Phillips in Marshall. She was a member of Houstonia United Methodist Church and a charter member of Country Patchwork Quilt Guild. She and Taylor loved to go camping, fishing and traveling.

Survivors include three children, Rick Cartee (Debbie), Paula Smith (Jerry) and Tracy Richart (James); eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one brother, William Patterson; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Anita was preceded in death by three brothers, Glen, Maurice and Dennis Patterson; and two sisters, Maxine Needham and Erma Smith.
