A newly formed organization in Marshall is seeking volunteers on Wednesday, January 26.
According to Myra Riley, President of Marshall Homeless Shelter and Services, the organization is scheduled to conduct a “Point It Out” count survey.
Riley says volunteers must be over the age of 18, and will have to go through a training process.
Riley explained how the count and survey will be conducted.
Riley says the headcount and survey information is important to the organization’s vision of hopefully building a shelter to house the homeless in Marshall. A volunteer training session is scheduled to take place at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 19.
If you are interested in volunteering or have questions, call Riley at (660) 252-0499 ext. 101.
