Area authorities are asking for help from the public in locating a 50-year-old woman who has been reported as missing.

According to a release from Johnson County Central Dispatch, Kathy D. Downs was last seen west of Leeton on Southwest Highway 2 near 171 Road on Saturday, July 23.

Downs is described as white and about 5-foot-1 and 150 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes.
