A Lexington man was seriously injured in a one-vehicle accident in Lafayette County on Friday, March 3, 2023.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred when a vehicle driven by 72-year-old Thomas Thuirer traveled off the left side of the roadway through a field striking a field entrance. The vehicle became airborne and overturned.

Thuirer was transported to Centerpoint Medical Center with serious injuries.

The accident occurred at 5 a.m. on Highway 13 in Lafayette County.
