The Higginsville Board of Aldermen approved vacating a street during its meeting on Monday, April 17, 2023.

City Administrator Jeanette Dobson stated the street is south of the Classic Motel and the city would no longer use the street.

In other news from the meeting, the board declared the passage of a city wide three percent sales tax on adult use marijuana. The tax passed with 340 yes votes and 80 no.
