The Missouri River Bird Observatory is once again hosting Nature Day Camps in Arrow Rock for children ages 8-14 years old. The Young Explorers Camp for youth ages 8 -11 offers two sessions; the first session will be June 3-6, the second session will be June 17-20. The Junior Naturalist Camp for youth ages 11-14 offers one session from June 25 – 28.

The Nature Day Camps are for all the young explorers in the area. The camp’s programs and activities are focused on exploration, improving observational and outdoor skills, encouraging critical thinking, increasing knowledge of Missouri’s native
species, physical activities, and, of course, having fun! Our activities fall under the Missouri Learning Standards and can further reinforce concepts your student is learning in school. Our campers have fun and go home with new knowledge and new
friendships. Each session of camp will repeat some favorite activities, like fishing and exploring the spring, but will also have new activities as well.

Campers will meet at the Lawless House in Arrow Rock at 8:30 a.m. and then the adventure ends for the day at 4:00 p.m. Snacks, lunch, and an exploration kit is included with the registration fee of $100 per week. Scholarships are available and transportation can be provided for residents in Marshall, Missouri through the OATS transit. To register for camp, please visit mrbo.org/camp. Registration is limited to 12 campers per week. For more information, please contact Laura Semken at education@mrbo.org or call 660-837-3888.
