The Green Ridge R-8 Board of Education approved the 2026-2027 classified salary schedule during its meeting on Monday, April 13.

Superintendent Jonathan Petersen tells KMMO News that the board approved the concept of a four percent salary increase last month, but waited until this meeting to approve the final numbers.

 

The board also reviewed an insurance policy proposal from United Healthcare. Petersen says the board has received several proposals for its insurance, but hasn’t been satisfied with any of the options.

 

Petersen says the district is hosting a meeting with another insurance company on Monday, April 20.

 

In other news, the board swore-in Jacob Crawford as a new member and welcomed returners Elizabeth Schleicher and Laura Weisenburger. The board also elected officers, nominating Derik Larimore as President, Weisenburger as Vice President, Tim Dove as Treasurer, and Audrey Harding as Secretary.
