Christian Ramirez scored for Austin FC in the 69th minute, then provided an assist 12 minutes later as St Louis City SC fell on the road 2-0 on Sunday, May 3.
Ramirez broke the scoreless deadlock with a head from the center of the box to record the game-winner. In the 81st minute, he then set up Myrto Uzuni’s left-footed shot from the center of the box, which also went leftward past City keeper Roman Bürki.
City recorded 12 shots to Austin’s 15. Bürki recorded four saves in his 100th MLS game, the first player in franchise history to achieve the feat while with City.
They remain one point ahead of Sporting Kansas City at the bottom of the Western Conference standings. Another road game awaits St Louis City when they travel to Colorado to face the Rapids. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
