With the help of a K-9 and after findings during a subsequent search of a suspicious package at a FedEx terminal in Sedalia on April 18, a Marshall man has been charged with a couple of felonies.
According to a probable-cause statement, the package reportedly contained a bag of methamphetamine that weighed approximately 304 grams. During a warranted search of his property, the package’s addressee also allegedly was found to be in possession of a firearm and other drug-related items.
According to online court documents, a warrant has been issued, and Richard Buckner has been charged with a Class A Felony for Trafficking Drugs in the Second Degree and a Class E Felony for Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Bond has been set at $50,000 cash or surety.
Buckner’s initial hearing at Pettis County Circuit Court is pending.
