During the meeting of the Marshall City Council on Monday, July 2, Ward 2 Councilman Chuck Hines reminded the town’s residents about what are legal and illegal fireworks to shoot off within the city limits.
According to a post on the Marshall Police Department’s Facebook page, legal fireworks may be used during the hours of 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Independence Day.
The post says the city’s fireworks display will be held on July 4. It will start with the Marshall Municipal Band performing at 8 p.m. at the gazebo on the property formerly known as the Marshall Habilitation Center. The display will follow around dusk at the Habilitation Center Lake.
The post says parking is limited on the property, and parking is prohibited along Highways 240 and 41, as well as along Route O. You also advised to bring a flashlight, as there are no lights on grounds.
