A Mayview man suffered moderate injuries in a two-vehicle traffic crash in Jackson County on Friday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as 44-year-old Scott Cain, of Wright City, reportedly fell asleep, and his eastbound freightliner struck the rear of 26-year-old Darrian Miller’s vehicle, which traveled off the right side of the roadway.
Cain reportedly sustained minor injuries, and both men were transported by ambulances to Centerpoint Hospital in Independence for treatment.
The crash happened at 4 a.m. near the 18 mile marker on I-70.
