Two new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in Lafayette County on Wednesday, July 1.
Lafayette County Health Department has a confirmed total of 92 cases of COVID-19 in Lafayette County to date. The number of recovered cases is now 80. There are 9 active cases and there have been a total of three deaths, reported previously.
Daily total cases in Missouri have come close to doubling in the last week compared to previous weeks. Many Lafayette County Businesses and citizens are still voluntarily following social distancing and mask use recommendations. Some businesses and a lot of people are not however.
The Lafayette County Health Department would like to remind everyone that it is important to remember that the virus is still prevalent. It is up to us all to take personal responsibility and protect each other. The department recommends that you use your masks in public in situations where social distancing is not possible.
