Marshall Police Chief Mike Donnell was at the meeting of the city council on Monday, October 19, and asked the council to consider limiting parking on certain stretches of three particular city streets.
Donnell said one of the problem areas in on East Slater Street.
Donnell said the second area is on South Miami Avenue between West College and West Vest Streets.
Donnell said it is an Emergency Snow Route, “but if you drive down that area at any point during the day, you’re bobbin’ and weaving through parked cars trying to get through that street.”
No action was taken. The council will have to approve any changes, and could do that during a future meeting.
