During the meeting of the Carrollton Town Council meeting on Monday, November 16 an number of items, including the annual Christmas Parade.

According to the city’s Financial Assistant, Lisa Ream, the council discussed starting the process to demolish a dangerous structure, located at 101 N. Main Street. One of the owners of the property was at the meeting and wanted to deed the property to the City. The City wanted to get an estimate of the cost for demolition before they would agree to the transfer of ownership of the property.

The Council also discussed the changes to Carrollton Lighted Christmas Parade that was recently cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the number of spectators that line up around the square. The floats will be lined up in the park and residents can drive through the and observe the stationary floats. The Council made the decision to have a Reverse Parade from 6 to 7 p.m. on Friday, November 27.
