Marshall Animal Shelter cannot accept animals from outside of the Marshall city limits per City Ordinance.

The shelter has received several calls from people who pick dogs up in the country and on the highways that they absolutely cannot accept. According to the Marshall Animal Shelter they cannot take these animals from outside city limits and still have room for animals from inside the city limits. There simply is not enough room.

If you choose to pick up an animal from outside the city limits you may be responsible for the animal long term. Not every dog you see in the country is a stray, it may just be a farm dog out for a stroll.
