A 41-year-old Marshall man has pleaded guilty to felonies he was facing following a high-speed pursuit and subsequent location of drug-related items in the vehicle on September 2.

On September 2, 2020 a Saline County deputy report, witnessed the suspect vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and running stop signs on multiple city streets. The suspect vehicle eventually came to a stop at the intersection of Benton and Vest, where the suspect exited the vehicle and ran. Aundra L. Butner initially resisted arrest, but eventually was taken into custody.

Authorities seized $348 along with 13 grams of methamphetamine; and multiple drug related items.

Following the incident, Butner was charged with a Class D Felony for Possession of a Controlled Substance; a Class E Felony for Resisting Arrest, Detention or Stop by Fleeing; and three misdemeanors.

On Friday, January 15, 2021 Butner pleaded guilty to all charges. The court sentenced Butner to four years in the Department of Corrections.
