
The number of roadways closed due to flooding in the KMMO listening area continues to increase due to constant rain falling in the area.
According to the MODOT Traveler Information Map, in Saline County, Highway 127, north of Sweet Springs at salt pond creek; Old Highway 40, south of I-70 and just west of Sweet Springs; Route VV, north of I-70 near Emma; and Route UU, just east of U.S. Highway 65 are closed.
In Carroll County, Route UU, east of U.S. Highway 65 and northeast of Carrollton; and Route E, north of Norborne at Turkey Creek, are closed.
In Chariton County, Route E at Rothville; Route D, north of Keytesville at Mussel Fork Creek; and Route O and Highway 129, between Mussel Fork and Prairie Hill at the Chariton River, are closed.
In Cooper County, Route BB, near Clifton City at Gabrial Creek; and Route V, south of I-70, are closed.
In Howard County, Route Z, just west of Highway 87 and northwest of Boonville; and Route H, just northeast of Fayette, are closed.
In Johnson County, Highway 23, between Concordia and Knob Noster; and Route E, near Valley City, are closed at the Blackwater River.
In Pettis County, Route O at Muddy Creek north of Beaman,; and Route W, south of Smithon, are closed.
In each case, drivers should seek an alternate route.
