Saline County Northern District Commissioner Stephanie Gooden will have another four years in office after defeating a write-in candidate by a nearly four-to-one margin in last week’s general election.

Gooden expresses appreciation to the county’s voters for returning her to office for a second term.

Gooden picked up 2662 votes, while 823 voters wrote in another name. 696 of those votes were for declared candidate Wayne Keehart. Gooden had emerged from a three-way Republican primary in August with 45 percent of the vote. She has served as Northern District Commissioner since 2019.
