The New York Yankees crushed four home runs against Kansas City pitching, cruising to a 13-4 win over the Royals Saturday afternoon at Yankee Stadium.

Amed Rosario got New York on the board in the third, crushing a two-run homer off of Noah Cameron. That was the first of three home runs Cameron would allow in the third, also giving up a two-run shot to Cody Bellinger and a solo bomb to Ben Rice.

The Yankees scored two more runs the following inning, knocking Cameron out of the game after just four innings of work. He allowed seven runs (five earned) on seven hits and two walks.

The Yankees continued to pour it on after KC went to the bullpen, bringing in Mitch Spence for his first appearance of the season. Spence allowed three runs in the sixth, which included Bellinger’s second homer of the day. The Yankees also added two more in the seventh and one more in the eighth.

New York starter Will Warren fanned eleven over seven innings of work. His only blemish was allowing a two-run homer to Carter Jensen in the seventh. Michael Massey connected on a two-run double in the ninth, but the comeback came up well short as Isaac Collins struck out to end the game.

The Royals fall to 7-14 and have now dropped their six-straight game. Kansas City will look to avoid the sweep in New York on Saturday. Cole Ragans will face Ryan Weathers. Pregame coverage will begin at noon, with first pitch at 12:35 p.m. on KMMO AM 1300.
