A community cleanup and waste collection event will held in in the city of Odessa on Saturday, May 9.

The event is available for Lafayette County residents from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 601 West Main Street in Odessa. Items can only be accepted from residents and not commercial businesses.

The items that can be accepted include furniture, clothing, electronic waste, bulk debris, and two appliances per household. Tires will also be accepted at the cost of two dollars for the first four and five dollars for each additional tire. Freon based appliances, yard waste, and other household hazardous waste will not be accepted during this event. For locations to drop off household hazardous waste, click here.

A reuse swap area will also be available for residents to drop and swap reusable collected items like furniture and appliances.
