A Sedalia resident has been charged with a felony for allegedly assaulting a woman on June 17.
According to a probable-cause statement, a woman told authorities she was assaulted by 41-year-old Michael A. Agee. The woman showed the law-enforcement officer a laceration on the top of her head and had visible lumps and bruising on her forehead. The woman also had suffered an injury to her left hand, which had some noticeable swelling and bruising across the knuckles.
According to online court documents, Agee has been charged with a Class E Felony for Domestic Assault in the Third Degree. Bond has been set at $2,500 cash or surety, with special unspecified conditions.
Agee was arraigned on June 19. The matter has been continued for a counsel-status hearing at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 24, at Pettis County Circuit Court.
