A post on the Chariton County Emergency Management Agency’s Facebook Page reminds residents affected by the flooding in the KMMO listening area they may be eligible for financial aid from a federal agency.
The post says: FEMA help is available to qualifying survivors in a variety of circumstances:
o Renters and owners;
o Damage to residences, vehicles and personal injury;
o Assistance for anticipated expenses and those already incurred;
o Those who have been denied assistance for past disasters but have experienced another loss since April 29, 2019;
o Those who do not have National Flood Insurance Program coverage;
o Those who have left the damaged community and may or may not return;
o And those who do not plan to rebuild their homes.
